SUMMER FRIDGE DAY 5 - We've got a really special line-up for our final day of scrumptious summer madness! On Sunday 26th July we head back to The Cookie, with an Edinburgh preview from the one and only Bobby Mair, new shows from Weirdos favourites Adam Larter and Beth Vyse, as well as Leicester favourites Ian Hall and Bruce Edhouse closing proceedings with their ‘Two Syds’ show! 4.30pm: BOBBY MAIR - 'FILTHY IMMIGRANT' Bobby Mair delivers a dark, honest and hilarious hour of pure stand-up. As seen on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Russell Howard’s Good News, Sweat the Small Stuff and Virtually Famous. 'Bobby Mair is clearly a brilliant stand-up. He's either going to be a huge international comedy star or the funniest homeless man ever' (Jimmy Carr). 'Hilarious' (Alan Davies). 'A bona fide tour de force' (Guardian). Tickets: 6pm: ADAM LARTER - THE CARDBOARD GARDENER A Summer Fridge exclusive, Adam Larter brings a brand new show to The Cookie, on Day 5 of the Summer Fridge programme: "For every cherry tomato shall fall. The courgette we shall forget. Dandruff soil which is hard to post. Take all of this and make it ready fork the fork." Adam is a founder member of the London-based 'Weirdos Comedy' collective, and most recently delighted audiences at Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival with his show 'Gary and the Crisp Factory', written especially for the people of Leicester. Tickets: 7.30pm: BETH VYSE - AS FUNNY AS CANCER Brand new show from super-talented actress and comedian Beth Vyse, whose previous show 'Get Up with Hands' was repeatedly named one of the best shows of the Edinburgh Fringe. Time Out had this to say about her: "Vyse has an insane, chaotic and stupidly funny mind. She’s a superb comic actress. Allow yourself to be swept away in her weirdness and you’ll have a blast." Vyse is back and this time it’s personal! A bodacious and ballsy look at her battle with breast cancer. Hear the tale of her Stoke-on-Trent family - The Waltons on Alcohol, her time with Nelson Mandela, acting and thieving at the Royal Shakespeare Company, settling down with Michael Jackson and finding cancer. Not to mention her producing two football teams from her womb. And all before the age of 30! 'The funniest thing I’ve seen on the fringe' ***** ( 'This show has cult written all over it' **** ( 'Stunningly lewd' **** (ThreeWeeks) Tickets: 9pm: THE TWO SYDS starring IAN HALL & BRUCE EDHOUSE In the final show of the 5-day Summer Fridge comedy extravaganza, Ian Hall and Bruce Edhouse (both former Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival award winners) present a daft but affectionate tribute to some of the great comedy double acts of our time. In reality, it's an anarchic mess of laughter, nonsense and petty arguments. "A shambolic delight" (LeicesterComedyScene) Tickets: All the Summer Fridge events are £5 advance or Pay what you want on the door!
