DICP are proud to present Midnight Wire's hometown show on their UK summer tour at The Cookie on Friday 5th June! After a sell out show at The Y Theatre for their album launch, the band are well known favourites on the indie rock scene in the UK. We don't need to waste time telling you about their merits, you probably already know. However, you can find Crossing The Rubicon on iTunes and Spotify now, check them out on their YouTube channel - , and watch their most recent video All For You on their Vevo channel - Joining them are Liverpudlians The Jackobins, who have been gaining a lot of traction recently - we had them on a show late last year and can't wait to have them playing back in Leicester on their tour before they embark on an impressive festival circuit. Ash Mammal are local favourites creating quite the stir since their conception in 2013. Hard to pigeon hole into a genre, they're a band that must be seen live to be appreciated. • The Cookie & Andy Wright Present: ALL TVVINS + Linear + Circus Love 06/06/15

ALL TVVINS consists of two multi-instrumentalists in the shape of Conor Adams (primarily vocals and bass) and Lar Kaye (guitars) who first met on the Dublin underground scene. They first started working together in the summer of 2013, and have since opened for Arcade Fire and The Pixies at a gargantuan homecoming show at Dublin’s Marlay Park; earned the respect of new wave pioneers Blondie following a set at Electric Picnic; and played at the famous Olympia Theatre as guests to Editors and Jungle. A live indie-rock band underpinned by a maelstrom of synths, their collision of disparate influences results in a sound akin to a melting pot of TV On The Radio’s art-pop twists with the leftfield psychedelic excursions of Animal Collective. The duo are currently working on sessions for their upcoming debut album with Jim Abbiss (Arcade Fire, Kasabian), Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, London Grammar), Mark Rankin (Queens of the Stone Age, Bombay Bicycle Club) and Matt Schwartz among those enlisted as their partners in sound. For further information please contact LINEAR. CIRCUS LOVE. New project from Nick Moon from Kyte. £6 adv. print at home ticket NO booking fee! £6 adv. ticket through post plus booking fee and postage.

Headlining the night is the phenomenal Andy Blackwell, better known by his stage name Blackwell. He's a piano based signer songwriter from London, and with his heart set strongly as a songwriter, Blackwell has written with an array of artists including Charlie Simpson (ex Busted, Fightstar) and has co-written on his most recent album 'Long Road Home', which peaked at Number 10 in the UK album charts last year. You may have seen the wonderful Blackwell supporting Mr. Simpson on his recent tour earlier in the year, and he'll be playing Leicester has part of his own UK and European tour. Once Vagrant Souls are new to the scene, and have been causing quite the stir. Predominantly a full band, Once Vagrant Souls mix their heartfelt melodies with upbeat rhythms, captivating the hearts of their audiences. You see a snippet of them acoustically playing at Tilt Coffee House here - Kristyna Myles is one of our favourites here at DICP, and we make no secret of it. MOBO award nominee Kristyna Myles is no stranger to the big stage and a songstress whose currency is rapidly increasing, thanks to the success of her debut album release ‘Pinch Me Quick’ (2014), recorded with Grammy award winning producer Ken Nelson (Coldplay, Paolo Nutini). “Kristyna (Myles) isn’t interested in being seen as the next ‘cool’ thing, instead, she’s intent on producing soulful, thoughtful and powerful music that simply satisfies” Chris Long, BBC. You can watch her recent video I'm Getting Rid Of This off her second album Paint A Brighter Day here - Abandon Her also are known as a full band, however acoustically their performance is just as captivating, if not more so being stripped back. • The Cookie Presents: John J. Presley + Logfox + The Blazing Owls 12/06/15 *RESCHEDULED*

It is a story of breaking the mould; a love affair with tone; light and shade; a strict discipline and a desire to create something different. From a record collection that journeys through early jazz and blues, to the might of huge iconic soundscapes from bands like Mogwai; and a huge respect for the songwriting mastery of Tom Waits and Nick Cave, John J Presley has certainly honed his own sound and approach. After two single releases in 2014, John J Presley saw huge support across the UK, with radio plays from Zane Lowe, John Kennedy, Tom Robinson and Phil Taggart, with an addition to XFM’s Evening Playlist on top. Many shows followed for John and his band: personal guests on the last ever Jim Jones Revue tour across Europe, and countless other shared stages with the likes of Pulled Apart By Horses, Amazing Snakeheads and Band of Skulls. Their BBC Introducing performance at Reading and Leeds being hailed a highlight in The Times. '...this is an altogether darker variant of the form, one that finds itself rubbing shoulders in the twisted and twilit worlds of Tom Waits, PJ Harvey and Nick Cave. As exemplified by his two coruscating singles, 'Left' and 'Honeybee', Presley doesn't just sing his songs; he inhabits them and in doing so invites the listener to be complicit in his shadowy tales.' The Quietus 2015 has already seen him named as one of XFM's Great X-Pectations for 2015 and sign to Vital Music Group. John J Presley and his band will be releasing their debut EP in June with a UK tour and festival appearances to support the release. “If Bukowski was to join a band of our time I think it’d be this one. The vocals remind you of Tom Waits or Johnny Cash, while the guitars have the same drive, as Jack White’s or the Black Keys do, only much dirtier." MusicNTing Blog Doors 8PM £6 ADV
